Enjoying art in complete tranquillity is possible at the Japanese Garden of Ostend. Artist Joke Raes takes you on a Zen walk, presenting sculptural mask portraits inspired by Ensor. Titled 'WanderMask', it refers to the wandering portraits that can be interpreted from different perspectives. Each mask reveals a complex duality between concealment and revelation, capturing moments of transience, fascination, and beauty in these colourful and delicate masks. All of this in harmony with the backdrop of nature.
